Fabian Huwyler

Founder and Managing Partner

With a background in political science, economics and international law, Fabian seeks the frontiers at the intersection of investability, scale and transformational impact. He brings with him 18 years of green finance experience, mostly in a number of senior management functions at Credit Suisse. Until 2019, he led the Bank’s efforts globally around financial solutions that benefit both the green and blue economies. He was a member of Credit Suisse’s Global Impact Investing Advisory Council and its Green Bond Committee.

Fabian has been a pioneer in finding and structuring investment solutions in nature. He is the first author of two seminal research reports issued in 2014 and 2016, which have defined the market potential of the industry.

Fabian was also instrumental in developing and structuring the Nature Conservation Notes, the first conservation investment product launched by any bank globally – and awarded with the Environmental Finance Forestry Deal of the Year 2015. In 2016, he co-founded the Coalition for Private Investment in Conservation – the globally leading cross-sectoral industry body to advance private investment in nature. He also sits on Convergence’s Funding Committee for the Asia Natural Capital Design Funding Window.

For his contributions to financial markets, Fabian was awarded Champion of Global Impact Banking and globally leading financial expert on SDG 14/15 by Euromoney in Sep. 2018.
