Posaidon is excited to announce that James Smith PhD has joined the firm as Director.
James possesses a wealth of experience in voluntary carbon markets and REDD+, having worked in forest carbon project development and as the technical carbon lead for multiple private-sector climate and biodiversity impact funds whilst at Mirova Natural Capital. James joins from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) where he led WBCSD’s natural climate solutions (NCS) program, working with WBCSD members and through the Natural Climate Solutions Alliance coalition to develop best-practice guidance and accelerate private sector investment in nature-based Solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation outcomes.
James’ recruitment strengthens Posaidon’s expertise and services in nature-based solutions carbon markets during a time of exciting and rapid market growth, and increasingly urgent need for additional financing for biodiversity conservation.
